Summary: The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Technician is accountable for monitoring and/or verifying that the company is following & documenting records required for all HACCP programs (4), SSOP programs (2) & testing requirements (production). Technician will be monitoring and recording specifications of food quality plan for retail/foodservice product production are being upheld.

E = Essential Functions
|E||Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.|
|E||Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release|
|E||Perform visual inspections of finished products.
Sanitation- Post & Pre-up
Product exam for import inspection- (Open cases for inspection)
|Perform Microbiological laboratory tests. Compile data and perform appropriate analyses. Report “Positive” test result to QA Manager ASAP.|
|E||Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms and equipment logbooks.|
|E||Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.|
|Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.|
|E||Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions. (Data collections- Warehouse and Production.|
|E||Receive and inspect raw materials when in the production facility.|
|E||Investigate or report questionable test results.
Products “May’s” being placed on hold in the blast freezer, once released product must be moved to QA area.
|Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.|
|E||Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.|
|Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.|
|Participate in internal assessments and audits as required.|
|Evaluate analytical methods and procedures to determine how they might be improved.
Facility Security Audits- Monthly (Collect data from post sanitations).
|Performs other related duties as required and assigned.|

Education and/or Experience – Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – HACCP certification preferred, but not required; valid driver’s license; see “Education and/or Experience” section.
