Summary: A Production Laborer assists in the production and processing of products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

E = Essential Functions

E	A Production Laborer is primarily responsible to assist the area of processing of chilled and frozen products for both retail and foodservice accounts.
E	Bring out pallets from chill or frozen storage.
E	Unpack products and break apart and/or place on staging table for processing.
E	Unload boxes of meat products to respective equipment line.
E	Break and stack boxes to be discarded.
E	Assemble cartons and master boxes, line master boxes an, and tape finished boxes.
E	Prepare finished cases for storage.
E	Discard all used boxes and rubbish.
E	Take out products for staging.
E	Put away completed pallets of finished products.
E	Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience – High School Diploma or GED, a minimum of one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Skills – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Able to work independently

Ability to work safely
Ability to work overtime as required to complete tasks

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to predominately work in extreme cold temperatures, stand for long periods of time, will have extensive use and repetitive motion of hands, lift and carry up to75 pounds.

Work Schedule – Monday thru Friday, 6:00am to 3:30pm.
